Topic: RFID - Where is it headed?

A report on recent RFID industry events, with insight, observations and analysis on the current state of global RFID technology research and implementation.

Speakers:

Paul Hartmann is VP of Engineering at RF SAW, an RFID startup in Richardson that utilizes surface acoustic wave technology, which has been applied for the U.S. military and NASA. Hartmann is a Senior Member of the IEEE and served on the Board of Governors of the Communications Society from 1998 to 2000.

Daniel Engels, an associate professor in the EE faculty at the University of Texas at Arlington, is Director of the Texas Radio Frequency Innovation and Technology Center at UTA. Dan was formerly Research Director of the Auto-ID Labs at M.I.T., one of the principal architects of the EPC System, and director/founder of the MIT Healthcare Research Initiative (HRI).
